The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing assays to support high-throughput screening and target discovery activities. This role involves close collab-oration with our global research teams in biology, automation, IT and data analysis to create in-novative and efficient assay workflows.


The position

•    Design and develop robust assays for high-throughput screening, and other drug discov-ery applications.
•    Optimize existing assay protocols in 384well plates to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reproducibility.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to integrate automation solutions and data analysis tools into assay workflows.

•    Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to assay performance and automation systems.
•    Analyse and interpret data generated from automated workflows and high-throughput screenings to inform decision-making in target discovery programs.
•    Stay current with advancements in assay technology and apply innovative solutions to enhance assay development processes.

 

Qualifications
•    Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology or related disciplines (e.g., Biotechnology, Bioin-formatics, Chemistry).

•    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in build-up and implementation of cellular assays with automated workflow within a drug discovery or related research environment. 
•    Deep understanding of data analysis and interpretation in high-throughput screening workflow and experience with gene perturbation tools, such as CRISPR-Cas9 and RNAi screens is required. 
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

•    Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•    Familiarity with liquid handling systems (e.g., Tecan, Biomek) and robotic platforms.
•    Experience in digital tools, multi-omics data generation, AI/machine-learning aided inte-grative analysis and interpretation in cardiometabolic diseases is a strong plus.
