About the Position
As the Senior Director Architecture Data & Analytics, you will play a key role in shaping Novo Nordisk's data and analytics strategy. Your work will ensure that data and analytics solutions align with business goals and meet regulatory standards. You will lead a dynamic team, collabo-rate across departments, and stay ahead of emerging technologies to enable advanced data and AI solutions. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a data and analytics architecture strategy aligned with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives, focusing on scalable and secure solu-tions.
  • Design and oversee hybrid multicloud and on-premises data platforms, ensuring robust and efficient support for AI/ML, data quality, data cataloging, and visualization.
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of advanced analytics and AI platforms, ena-bling machine learning and data science capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and standards, including GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and data governance policies, while driving secure and auditable data prac-tices.
  • Establish metadata management and data cataloging practices to enhance data discov-ery, governance visibility, and lineage tracking across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to align architecture with enterprise goals, ensur-ing integration of data and AI solutions into business portfolios.
  • Define and manage the technology roadmap for data and analytics architecture, evaluat-ing tools and platforms while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, in-novation, and professional growth while promoting diversity and inclusion.

 

Qualifications
We’re looking for an experienced leader with a strong technical background and the ability to inspire and influence across an organization. Ideal candidates will bring:

  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Data, Computer Science, Information Management, or a re-lated field.
  • 12+ years of experience in data and analytics leadership, with at least 7 years in architec-ture within a regulated industry.
  • Proven expertise in cloud technologies, data modeling, data integration, metadata man-agement, and governance.
  • Familiarity with life sciences regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Strong track record of designing scalable architecture solutions and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Our department is globally distributed and has for mission to harness the power of Data and Artificial Intelligence, integrating it seamlessly into the fabric of Novo Nordisk's operations. We serve as the vital link, weaving together the realms of Data and Artificial Intelligence throughout the whole organization, empowering Novo Nordisk to realize its strategic ambitions through our pivotal initiatives.
