The position
As a Data Marketplace Engineering Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive suite of data services and expertise, empowering Lines of Business (LoBs) to seamlessly integrate, manage, process, and derive value from their Data assets & Data Products. Your responsibility will be:
Serve as the Data Marketplace technical product owner, managing and driving the technical strategy and vision of the product.
Define and execute strategic data management plans, focusing on data marketplace, and establish best practices, standards, tools, and services for efficient data management.
Oversee the development of the data marketplace platform, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions and collaborating across teams to address technical requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, data governance, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and prioritise features.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining data marketplace and cataloguing solutions.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement. Ensure all data service deliveries and activities comply with global regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Implement robust security measures to protect data
assets and maintain user trust. Monitor and analyze the
performance of the data marketplace, using metrics and
feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
We realise that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for:
A master’s degree in data, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
Experience of 12+ years of experience with relevant 5+years in Data Marketplace/cataloguing initiatives. Proven experience in People management is desirable.
Proven expertise in cloud technologies, data modelling, data integration, metadata management, and governance.
Familiarity with life sciences regulatory requirements and standards.
Experience in designing scalable data solutions and leading technical teams. Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at various technical levels of the organization.
Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
Adaptable to different situation and able to work with ambiguity.
Business acumen: ability to improve business process to demonstrate pragmatic use of data and AI to deliver impact.
About the department
DD&IT India is a team of 1000+ highly skilled IT
professionals located in Global Business Services (GBS)
Bangalore. The main role of DD&IT India is to 'manage' IT,
which includes System Management, Project Management,
Infrastructure Management, Compliance Management, Security
Management, Process Management and Vendor Management. Product
Supply(PS) IT is the unit responsible for many global IT systems
at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support,
and development of these systems. In Global IT, we drive
projects, manage critical IT systems, services and
infrastructure used along the entire value chain of Novo Nordisk.
