The Position 

As a Technical Project Lead, you will play a leading role in the development of medical devices throughout all stages of product development. Your responsibilities will include ensuring transparency in decision-making and fostering involvement across the different functional areas. 

  

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Being accountable for the technical performance and quality of the product 
  • Ensuring consistency within design input, design output, design verification, and design validation 
  • Collaborating with the project manager to drive the project 
  • Holding technical accountability to find the right solution and working with team dynamics to provide constructive feedback 
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to solve problems and facilitate trade-off decisions 

 

You will work in close collaboration across many parts of the Novo Nordisk organization e.g. project management, safety risk management, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, regulatory affairs, and medical & science. You will play an important role in liaising with these stakeholders to obtain the best technical solution. 

 

Qualifications 

To succeed in this role, you must have: 

  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering and possess at least 5+ years of similar experience working with Medical Devices 
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken 
  • Demonstrate previous work experience in project management within medical device development or another regulated industry 
  • Exhibit familiarity with standards and regulations such as ISO13485, 11608, and design controls in product development 
  • Manage trade-offs effectively within a development context 
  • Utilize structured problem-solving techniques for addressing complex issues 

  

As an individual, you are analytical, structured, and can demonstrate attention to detail while maintaining an overview of the system you are engineering. You thrive in dynamic and changing environments, fearlessly voice your opinions, and challenge the status quo in our processes. Recognized as a strong team player, you possess excellent interpersonal skills. You bring a 'can-do' spirit, a healthy dose of common sense, and a good sense of humour to your work. 

  

About the Department 

The Device Projects department consists of Technical Projects Managers as well as Project Managers. We are part of Novo Nordisk Device & Delivery Solutions, which is the organization responsible for the development of device solutions for medical self-treatment within all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. In our department, we have a wide range of development projects in different development phases, and you will join a team contributing to projects related to pens and auto-injectors.  

 

Our main job is to ensure progression of the overall Novo Nordisk development pipeline contributing with the delivery technology and with aim to help even more people living with chronic diseases. and their healthcare professionals through new technologies. You will join a dynamic, international, and innovative environment, where highly skilled professionals work closely together to develop next-generation medical devices.
