Who you’ll be working with

The M&A Architect will be based in DD&IT, Core M&A Team based in Strategy & Transformation. Strategy & Transformation is a newly established area with ~100 employees, mainly based out of Denmark. The area consists also of IT-Strategy, Communication, Enterprise Architecture, Business Development as well as a strategic transformation program.

 

For the past year we have established the Core M&A Team, with the purpose of handling the expected inflow of M&A transactions impacting DD&IT. While the role will organisationally be based Strategy & Transformation, it will be representing all of DD&IT as well as having diverse stakeholders across the Novo Nordisk value chain.

 

Behind the title

As our new M&A Architect, you will lead the architectural design and integration efforts during mergers, acquisitions, and - potentially divestitures.

 

Additionally, you can expect to:

  • Develop and implement architectural strategies and solutions to ensure seamless integration and alignment of technology platforms, applications, and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the remaining part of DD&IT as well as colleagues across the Architecture landscape such as Enterprise Architecture to drive alignment and successful execution of M&A strategies
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support due diligence activities, while also facilitating cross-functional decision making
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements throughout the M&A process

 

What we scout for

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should meet most of the following:

  • Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus and deep understanding of the M&A activities including due diligence, integration planning, and Post-Merger-Integration
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, with the ability to assess and integrate diverse technology environments
  • Experience with relevant enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulatory requirements related to M&A activities
