The position

In this role as a Project Manager, you will oversee work packages for building a new Quality Control (QC) facility at site Kalundborg (KA), ensuring laboratory processes meet project goals and incorporating user input. Your responsibilities include coordinating with architects and engineers, managing the procurement of equipment, developing and monitoring project plans, negotiating resources, establishing project governance, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Defining the scope and overseeing the execution of the laboratory processes work-package to ensure that the new laboratory meets the ambition for a Future QC Integrating flow, automation potential, and operational readiness into the decision-making process for the project.
  • Assisting department managers in defining the strategy for process alignment across departments and supporting process owners during execution.
  • Optimizing the design of analysis packages and ensuring they are ready for operation in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating equipment purchase, installation, and qualification with the project group
  • Ensuring compliance with NN Quality Management System and our Environmental, Health and Safety Management system

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a Project Manager with the following qualifications:

  • Relevant PhD or Master’s degree with several years of experience. We also accept applications with equivalent knowledge through relevant practical experience
  • Significant project management experience from complex projects
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical/GMP environment or another highly regulated environment
  • It is an advantage to have laboratory experience and an understanding of QC processes
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken. Danish is an advantage

The projects that are managed, are with medium complexity, and have impact at site level.

 

About the department

This position will be anchored in PS API Manufacturing Development (MDev) as part of the Business Support to the CVP of PS API MDEV. You will work closely together with colleagues across the 4 laboratory departments, local API project coordinators and colleagues driving various innovation projects across NN.

In PS API laboratories we are 340 colleagues, allocated in 4 different departments and we are responsible for performing all QC analysis across API DK, as well as supporting manufacturing development. Our goal is to enhance laboratory efficiency and stability by minimizing manual work and automating laboratory processes. In the long-term, we aim to transform our laboratories into connected and highly automated environments. With an expanding production footprint, we are now revisiting our QC strategy to support our expansion plans.
