The Position
As our Clinical Contracts and Budgets Specialist, you will be managing commercial and contractual relationship with investigators and clinical sites to meet timelines and demands of assigned clinical trials. As well as delivering assigned activities proactively, independently and in accordance with Novo Nordisk Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs). The main tasks are the following but are not limited to:

  • Negotiate contract language and budget directly with clinical sites in line with previously accepted parameters, and maintain status report on negotiation process and activities.
  • Escalate changes to legal language and budget requests other than previously approved to appropriate stakeholders where required.
  • Secure planned execution dates of contracts and meeting timelines, and ensure timely notification of stakeholders involved on planned dates and any delays.
  • Ability to interpret protocols and develop budgets accordingly. 
  • Draft original contracts for clinical sites and vendors in cooperation with Local Legal and follow up the contractual process in appropriate electronic systems (e.g., Coupa).
  • Interact independently with investigators, clinical site staff, vendors, and internal stakeholders, as well as collaborate with Clinical Trial Administrators on signing, shipping, and repository of contractual documents.

 

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • B.Sc. in Life Sciences, preferably with a post graduate qualification in Research.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in clinical trials operations. 
  • At least 3 years of experience in clinical trial research (Trial Manager or Senior CRA).
  • Proven experience of conducting clinical trials in accordance with GCP methodology.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to maintain overview and quality.
  • Ability and willingness to adjust quickly to new situations in a continuously developing environment and to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, to be able to communicate in a clear and effective way, and being capable to be diplomatic and find common solutions with stakeholders.
  • IT proficiency: MS Office, clinical trial systems.
  • Experience in multinational environments, liaising with overseas colleagues – an advantage.
  • Contracts management experience in pharmaceutical industry or Clinical Research Organization – an advantage.
  • Fluency in Hebrew and English.
