The position
As Energy professional for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) you will be the key player in driving and supporting the Energy agenda on many different tasks in API, such as:
You will be API’s Energy Subject Matter Expert mainly located in Kalundborg, but also supporting factories in Hillerød, Bagsværd and the US. You will be reporting to Senior Manager for API Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and in dotted line SVP Environment and Energy Partner. You will work closely together with the API’s Senior Vice President (SVP) Partner for Environment and Energy and the energy responsible persons in the CVP areas under API.
API is responsible for producing the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) for all of Novo Nordisk’s medicines and consist of approximately 8000 employees.

About the department
API EHS is a specialist function supporting PS API within External Environment and Energy and Health and Safety. We are driving the External Environment and Health and Safety strategies for PS API and as such our main tasks are to ensure that PS API stay in compliance with Authority requirements and ISO standards. We strive to identify improvement areas leading to reduction of energy, water and waste in the API and ultimately realize Novo Nordisk Circular for Zero ambition.
