The position
As the Director of Facilities & Workplace Operations, you will lead our operations area and ensure the delivery of high-quality Facility Management services across Novo Nordisk sites in Denmark. You will lead a professional area consisting of contract managers, site managers, facility experts, facility support staff, and administrative personnel, ensuring a consistent delivery of robust and stable facility services across all Danish sites, including GxP cleaning, canteen operations, waste handling, and postal services. 

You will have the opportunity to work with:

  • Overseeing and developing the operations of our rapidly expanding office portfolio in the greater Copenhagen area
  • Ensuring services are adaptable and scalable to support Novo Nordisk's rapid growth
  • Preparing the organization and our vendor network to handle a large influx of new facilities
  • Maintaining relationships with external suppliers to guarantee cost-effective and high-quality service standards in close cooperation with the procurement team
  • Collaborating closely with your colleagues in local Service Centers, Physical Security and other relevant areas to ensure coordinated deliveries from Corporate Facilities


Qualification
We are seeking a candidate who embodies the following:

  • Relevant academic qualifications at minimum bachelor's level, and proven track record in facility management or a similar professional area
  • Proficiency in delivering cost-efficient and reliable Hard and Soft Facility Management services on a large scale
  • Background in corporate organizations with extensive facility management needs, or large-scale commercial real estate companies, FM service providers or healthcare institutions with complex facility management requirements
  • Strong leadership abilities, along with capability of leading through other leaders
  • Experience in professionally managing relationships with external vendors and suppliers and managing large contracts

On a personal level, you have a strategic mindset and excellent communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in English, and you work effectively as a team player.

In Corporate Facilities, we ensure well-functioning corporate infrastructure, and a safe and engaging workplace for more than 30,000+ colleagues across our Danish sites. We create tangible business results by partnering with all areas of the business and what we do impacts all Novo Nordisk’s employees in their workday.

You will be a part of Facilities & Workplace in Corporate Facilities and report to the VP of the area. We deliver common infrastructures and services vital for Novo Nordisk and its employees. In this role, you will be heading up our operations and ensure robust and stable facility services to all our colleagues in Denmark. The job is based in Denmark, where you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working closely with a dedicated team to support the growth and success of Novo Nordisk.
