The Position 

As a Compliance Partner focusing on IT Compliance within our Corporate Procurement department, you will support category managers to ensure our suppliers and contracts adhere to internal and external regulatory frameworks. You'll bring your expertise in Information Security, Data Privacy, NIS2, and AI Act to drive compliance and ethics initiatives, ultimately safeguarding Novo Nordisk's operations and reputation.   

Your key responsibilities will be to: 

  • Ensure our suppliers comply with regulatory frameworks, safeguarding Novo Nordisk's operations 
  • Act as the go-to expert on IT Compliance, Data Privacy, Information Security, AI Act, and NIS2, providing guidance on ethical and legal compliance issues and ensuring alignment with internal and external standards 
  • Lead and drive compliance and ethics initiatives, embedding compliance considerations in decision-making processes across the organization 
  • Stay updated on legislation and regulatory policies, ensuring our practices remain compliant  
  • Work closely with stakeholders globally in Legal, Ethics, Compliance, and Risk departments to develop cohesive compliance strategies 

 

Qualifications  

To succeed in this role, you hold a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, IT Compliance,Law, Business Administration, or related field, preferably with advanced degree, and have 3-5 years of experience in compliance, ethics, or a related field. 

Other success criteria are: 

  • Demonstrated expertise in regulatory frameworks and risk management, along with proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks 
  • Experience with IT Compliance, Information Security, Data Privacy, NIS2, or AI Act considered highly beneficial 
  • Ideally, experience with third party risk management and compliance e.g. through Procurement or Supply Chain Management 
  • Preferably experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry 

 

On a personal level, you possess high ethical standards and decisions-making skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail to ensure thorough and accurate compliance activities. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills enable you to convey compliance and ethical standards effectively. Furthermore, you have strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve compliance issues, while being able to identify and implement better practices in compliance processes. Additionally, your strong interpersonal skills help you build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, while your analytical thinking allows you to monitor legislation and regulatory policies and adapt compliance strategies accordingly. 

 

Finally, we expect you be able to mentor and coach junior colleagues in compliance and ethics matters.

The department consists of 180 employees based in Denmark and India (globally 500 people) and is in charge of the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy.
