The position

As an Associate Manager - Legal at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Manage legal documentation & contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating and archiving contracts.
  • Ensure effective contract management and use of the latest global templates.
  • Carry out internal controls to ensure the application of processes & procedures.
  • Review and assess regularly the established Business Ethics internal controls.
  • Implement new approaches and standards as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
  • Analyze the implications of industry, regulatory and other external factors and provide input.
  • Advise employees and resolve their queries on legal & compliance issues.
  • Conduct workshops and trainings as and when required.
  • Advise on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for Business Ethics (BE) Group Internal Audit (GIA) and closure of findings.
  • Ensure Data protection and Human Rights compliance and advise on the same.
  • Ensure timely statutory filings as per legal requirements.
  • Process documents for renewal of licenses and update on FCRA & other regulations.
  • Coordinate with external consultants for statutory compliance.
  • Monitor, track & update changes in statutory regulations.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • BA, LLB with a strong experience in legal documents, contracts, statutory compliance.
  • 4-6 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Analysis, Contract Management.
  • Excellent Communication & Written English skills.
  • Experience in driving compliance program, assessment & action.

You will be part of the Legal & Compliance team at Novo Nordisk. Our department ensures the organization complies with the legal and regulatory requirements of the countries in which we operate. We provide legal counsel and support in areas related to the business, including corporate law, real estate, tax, business litigation, transactions/antitrust, compliance, intellectual property, employment/labour, corporate governance, ethics, and more. Our team is dedicated to maintaining customer focus and engaging internal and external contacts by demonstrating the importance of complying with relevant laws and policies. We are based in a dynamic and collaborative environment, working closely with various functions to support Novo Nordisk’s mission.
