The Position

As a Compliance & Risk Specialist, you will have the responsibility for risk management including risk collection, consolidation, reporting, and follow-up on mitigation. Further, you will be a subject matter expert for business ethics and provide advice and guidance across the R&D organization on various business ethics subjects. 

 

You need to be able to work both hands-on and at a more strategic level. You will work closely with your team members and Novo Nordisk Business Ethics Compliance Office and the entire R&D organisation.

 

The main tasks will be to:

  •   Conduct risk reporting across R&D and coordinating internally for R&D.
  • Identify, assess, and suggest mitigations actions   business ethics risks including data privacy & AI.
  • Mature and drive risk management compliance initiatives, implementation, and coordination across business areas e.g. development of revised processes for risk reporting.
  • Ad hoc  review of ongoing R&D activities to proactively identify any potential compliance or risk issues.
  • Collaborate with internal  stakeholders globally
  • Develop training material and ensure clear communication.
  • Contribute to the R&D Business Ethics Compliance Coordinator Forum.
  • Function as a local business ethics compliance support for our R&D organization, including  review of  advice and review of exemption requests, and

 

 

This position is based in Søborg, Denmark.

 

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, we imagine you have:

  • A relevant master’s degree (e.g., within finance, accounting business administration, law, commercial law, or any other relevant education).
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management and compliance/business ethics.

 

Additionally, you will be a great asset to our team because you have:

 

  • Proven project and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate within the team and across different functions.
  • Tech savvy and fluency in English.
  • It will be an advantage if you have experience from working within the pharmaceutical industry, but it is not a prerequisite.

 

On a personal level, you are a collaborative team player who can make a positive contribution to the work environment. You possess a global and proactive mindset, along with the ability to work independently and adapt rapidly to new situations in a dynamic environment.

 

 

About the department

In R&D Business Ethics & Data Privacy we work with business data ethics, data privacy, and AI compliance.  We are a team of specialists with different educational backgrounds.

 

We are responsible for governing, and operationalising internal and external business ethics, data privacy & AI requirements and support the global R&D organisation on how to mitigate compliance risks.
