The role

The IT User Support Professional provides first-line technical support to both office and production users, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and shopfloor IT systems. The role is critical to the site's daily IT operations, offering hands-on assistance with installations, troubleshooting, and user onboarding. The position involves close collaboration with global IT teams and offers opportunities for growth, particularly in OT systems and project-based work. Top 5 responsibilities:

  • IT Systems Support & Maintenance: Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues, including installation, configuration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of PCs, laptops, mobile devices, scanners, and printers.
  • IT Asset & Lifecycle Management: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets; manage installations, updates, and hardware lifecycle. Support onboarding by preparing and delivering IT tools to new hires.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with corporate IT, helpdesk services, and site teams to resolve incidents and roll out global policies. Participate in audits and ensure documentation and compliance standards are met.
  • Manage the entire ticketing process (for incidents and requests) with daily reporting and status checks in accordance with SLAs. Record and monitor calls through the incident/problem management system while maintaining up-to-date historical records and associated documentation. Ensure timely updates and resolution of tickets.
  • Stand-by Support Rotation: Participate in a rotating stand-by duty every three weeks, remaining available for urgent support outside working hours.

 Qualifications

  • Degree in IT or related field with at least 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to Participate in Stand-by Rotation every three weeks to provide urgent out-of-hours support.
  • Technical Expertise in Windows OS (10/11), Office 365, basic networking (VLAN), Active Directory, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong Communication Skills in both French and English (Dutch is a plus) with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving & Teamwork abilities, with a flexible and proactive attitude to adapt to changing priorities.

About the site

End of 2024, Novo Nordisk acquired the manufacturing site Catalent Belgium SA. The site is now part of Novo Nordisk and has begun the transition to become a fully integrated Novo Nordisk manufacturing site. To advance the integration, the Brownfield Site Integration team for Brussels (BSI Brussels) has been established with the responsibility for local integration and capacity maximization in collaboration with the local team.
