The position
As head of CMC AnaC Project Office, your job will be to build, foster and develop the department to meet the needs and strategy of the analytical development project portfolio, securing its progress. This you will do by collaborate both internally with the other departments in CMC AnaC, but also by interacting cross functionally with other Portfolio Management departments across Novo Nordisk.

You will need to balance the demands of the business here and now, while at the same time ensure our longer-term ambition is fulfilled. Many internal and external stakeholders will rely on your understanding and your ability to translate business needs into meaningful prioritisation, and it will also be your responsibility to expand the areas’ strategy and competences to follow the ambition and purpose of Novo Nordisk.

Some of the main tasks will be to:

  • set direction and strategies for all projects in the CMC AnaC development pipeline
  • ensure transparent communication, planning and prioritisation across all relevant areas and full portfolio overview in CMC AnaC
  • ensure scalability of solutions and understand the importance of involving various stakeholders
  • continuously develop the skills of the senior project managers in the department

Furthermore, you will act as a role model and demonstrate strong and visible leadership, maintaining employee engagement through performance management, coaching, and talent development. You will also be a leading inspiration to promote our Novo Nordisk values.

Since the analytical pipeline is in growth and constant development, willingness to adapt to changes and new priorities are key to success. This role offers great potential setting direction for the analytical area and ensure communication and dialogue to a broad network within Novo Nordisk.

 

Qualifications
We are looking for a positive and solution-oriented candidate with a a master’s degree in chemistry, pharmacy, engineering, or similar along a proven leadership experience of leading leaders.

Additionally, you have:

  • extensive experience of people management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • strong communication skills, change management and top-level interaction experience
  • a flair for handling complex organisational strategy and using systemic leadership
  • full fluency in English both written and spoken

On a personal level, you set clear direction but in an emphatic way, lead and motivate your department to deliver their best and have a desire to influence and impact others beyond your own area. At the same time encourage and challenge your colleagues in the management team to ensure that we together exceed expectations for analytical area.

In addition, you like to change processes to the better and are not afraid to take a risk, so you are able to work up to highest standards in the most simple and effective way. At the same time, we encourage cooperation between stakeholders, departments, teams and people based on mutual trust and empathy.


About the area
AnaC is a newly established CVP area responsible for designing and developing analytical methods, including characterisation, bioanalysis, stability, comparability, release and in-process testing. We are present from late research through lifecycle management across the entire product portfolio. We are attuned to emerging trends, industry requirements, and new technologies ensuring a strong support to key stakeholders in CMC. AnaC is an area that currently consist of 6 departments with a broad stakeholder landscape, and colleagues in both Ireland, Czech Republic and USA.
