The position 

As a Sustainability Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will play a vital role in advancing our ESG agenda within the supply chain. You will work alongside a talented team of project and sustainability partners, leveraging your expertise to support responsible sourcing initiatives. This position is critical to ensuring compliance with the latest EU regulations, particularly the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). Your contributions will help drive impactful projects and foster a culture of sustainability throughout the organization. 

 

Some of your responsibilities will be to: 

  • Support supplier negotiations to align with Responsible Sourcing Standards and ensure compliance across the global supply chain. 
  • Implement comprehensive due diligence processes to assess suppliers’ adherence to sustainability standards and regulations. 
  • Drive the digitalization of sustainability processes to enhance efficiency and improve data tracking within the organization. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build organizational capability in sustainable sourcing practices. 
  • Monitor and report on sustainability metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for improvement. 

 

Qualifications  

  • At least 1-2 years of experience, preferable within responsible sourcing.  
  • Master's Degree (e.g. in sustainability, legal and compliance, environmental mgmt., supply chain management or similar) with excellent results. 
  • Knowledge about social and environmentally sustainable supply chain practices and experience in implementing responsible sourcing initiatives.  
  • Experience implementing new policies (preferable CSDDD) including setting up compliance tracking and reporting.  
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Your excellent interpersonal skills allow you to build strong relationships and effectively motivate stakeholders. Pragmatic and results-oriented, you maintain focus and execute tasks to meet targets efficiently.  

You thrive under short timelines and deliverables while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Additionally, your strong communication capabilities and can-do attitude make you a key contributor to achieving shared goals. 

 

About the Department  

In Corporate Procurement we are 200 employees in Denmark and India, and globally more than 400 people work in procurement throughout the organisation responsible for approx. 75% of Novo Nordisk’s spend and for setting the strategic direction. Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, digital procurement and purchasing processes, where we work to ensure that the ESG agenda becomes an integrated part of working with our suppliers.
