The position

As a Master Data Specialist at Novo Nordisk's site in Cham, Switzerland, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity, consistency, and quality of master data across systems. Supporting the Global Customer Operations unit, you will ensure effective data exchange between sites, optimize ERP systems, and uphold data governance standards.

Working closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations, you will help drive operational excellence through reliable data management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Effective Data Management: Maintain accurate, unified records for customers, vendors, and products; support intercompany transactions; ensure GDPR and GxP compliance; and continuously improve data processes through self-inspections and best practice sharing.
• Chair Data Governance Activities: Lead data governance meetings, define naming conventions and data usage standards, oversee data audits, and contribute to compliance forums related to data privacy (e.g., GDPR).
• Optimize Systems and ERP Processes: Act as the link between business and IT to enhance ERP system performance, approve change controls, and identify opportunities for process improvements in data handling and system use.
• Train and Support Users: Deliver training across departments to ensure proper data usage and system efficiency; develop user manuals and training resources as needed.
• Reporting and Analysis: Build visual management tools to monitor data performance and support above-site processes, including handling of sensitive customer data within the secure "Ringfence" environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, ideally within a regulated or complex industry (e.g. life sciences).
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one ERP system; knowledge of both Oracle JDE and SAP is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of data structures, master data governance, and data quality principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
• Experience with reporting and workflow tools such as Power BI, Smartsheet, QlikView, or Workfront is a plus.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Relevant degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; certifications like CDMP or CAP are a bonus.

SwissCo CDMO Operations GmbH is based in Cham Switzerland and is a part of Novo Nordisk External Supply - an international and high-performing organisation. The Cham office consists of around 25 people from multiple different countries.
