HR Intern – 6 to 12 months contract

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
individual to join our team as a People & Organization
Intern. In this role, you will provide confidential coordination
and project support to the People & Organization team that
supports multiple client groups. This intern role will be
focused on insights and analytics and we are looking for someone
creative who likes working with data mining and building dashboards.
Responsibilities:

Create and review reports, prepare communication and
presentations, coordinate benefits activities, and special projects

Build rapport with client groups and provide general
assistance on issues

Provide support with administrative tasks for Human
Resources Team

Assist and coordinate special events
-
Provide admin support with policies and procedures
-
Lead the updating of the People & Organization
SharePoint page, including events
-
Update posts for the HR Team
-
Assist with reporting on analytics
-
Track contract end dates etc, and assist with updating HR Team
-
Maintain HR Personnel files ensuring that documents are
correctly filed
-
Input benefits for new employees in system and maintain
updates including address change, beneficiary updates, etc.
for employees

Ensure that employee benefit issues/inquiries are resolved
promptly and efficiently

Assist with onboarding of employees and onboarding
scheduling of new employees

Update HR policies under direction of HR Business Partner
Ensure policies are up to date and in compliance as required

Manage key processes for client areas (360 administration,
Exit interview Resignations)

Work with outside vendors and coordinate
training/workshops, meetings and events

Work on special projects as requested for Director of HR
& VP. People & Organization

Ensure a clear understanding of project/work objectives
and a high degree of accuracy and independence
Qualifications:
-
Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or
related field

An exceptional love for insights and analytics
-
Strong attention to detail is a must

Strong organizational and project management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
-
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
