The position
Your responsibility as a Chemist for Chemistry Pilot Plant
is to transfer the processes from the development laboratory to
pilot scale. The processes are within organic chemistry, solid
phase chemistry and chemical modification of peptides. The
transfer of the processes includes planning of the production, the
acquisition of raw materials and preparation of production
recipes.
Your tasks will include:
Qualifications
You hold a Master or PhD in organic chemistry or chemical
engineering. Experience from upscaling of chemical processes and
GMP is an advantage but not a must.
On a personal level, you are well structured, have good planning skills and are prepared to learn how a pilot plant is operated. We expect you to have excellent collaboration skills since the job involves collaboration across different areas with people from different backgrounds. Further, you should feel confident with and have the ability to make carefully considered decisions in a hectic work environment.
About the department
As part of the Novo Nordisk PSQIT organisation, Chemistry,
Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development & Scaling makes a
real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the
world. We develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates for
clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do”
mindset.
The job is within Novo Nordisk Research &
Development area in Bagsværd in the department Chemistry Pilot
Plant. In the department you will find around 45 highly skilled
colleagues divided in three teams. You will be in a team with 8
other pilot chemists with extensive experience in the field and 10
highly skilled pilot technicians that operate the pilot expertly.
The characteristics of your coming colleagues are their “can-do” attitude and a mind that constantly challenge themselves to develop and upscale robust chemical processes. Our main responsibility is to produce synthetic API and intermediates for pre-clinical and clinical studies.
