About the Global Finance Graduate Programme


The full-time position as a Global Finance Graduate offers you the opportunity to experience four exciting jobs in just two years. You can engage in various finance functions across our global value chain - from R&D to production to sales. This experience will equip you with a strong financial toolbox, knowledge of digital tools, and a holistic understanding of Novo Nordisk and the pharmaceutical industry.

 

Throughout the programme, you will gain hands-on experience with transforming data into actionable business insights, communicating recommendations, and creating measurable business impact. You will collaborate with highly skilled colleagues and cultivate an international network, positioning yourself as one of tomorrow’s key finance leaders at Novo Nordisk.


As you embark on your life-changing career in Novo Nordisk, we will provide you with:

 

 

  • Accelerated personal and professional development from day one. You will receive 1-on-1 sparring from a senior mentor assigned to you and participate in an extensive, custom-built training programme.
  • International professional experience. You will spend one of your 6-month rotations abroad at one of our many affiliates and regional offices (e. g. Princeton, São Paulo, Kuala Lumpur, a European capital or one of many other options), where you will gain unique insights into the local finance organisation.
  • Vast exposure and networking possibilities. As part of the Graduate community, you will not only expand your professional network across the finance function, you will also start your journey together with tomorrow’s leaders in the other graduate tracks – like Business, Legal & Compliance, Marketing or Data Science.

 

The position


During the programme you will undertake 3 rotations at the global headquarters in Denmark and 1 rotation abroad, each fitted to suit your personal development needs and to ensure that you will be involved in a variety of tasks. Every Global Finance Graduate’s journey is unique, but below is an example of how yours could look like:

 

 

  • Rotation 1 – R&D Finance, HQ

Finance partnering supporting the management and evaluation of investments in our future product pipeline.

  • Rotation 2 – Internal Audit, HQ

Supporting internal auditors in conducting both finance and business ethics audits across our affiliates and HQ functions safeguarding Novo Nordisk’s license to operate. 

  • Rotation 3 – Novo Nordisk, Santiago (Chile)

Forecasting sales and analysing the market dynamics in our local affiliate.

  • Rotation 4 – Strategic Finance, HQ

Supporting senior management with key strategic projects and financial modelling in connection with all business development activities, including our M&A pipeline.

 

Qualifications


To thrive and succeed as a Global Finance Graduate, we expect you to have:

 

  • A master’s degree from 2024 or 2025 with focus on a relevant subject, like finance, economics, business administration or (management) accounting
  • Top academic results
  • Relevant work experience and/or extracurricular activities
  • International experience from e.g. working, studying, or volunteering abroad
  • No more than 1 year of full-time work experience between or after completing a master’s degree
  • A global mindset with an ability to adapt quickly to change and to relocate internationally as part of the programme
  • High motivation and interest in working in (Corporate) Finance 
  • Professional fluency in English

Our global Graduate Programme is designed to bring together change makers with a diversity of perspectives and equip them with the tools needed to accelerate their personal and professional development. The two-year programme allows you to explore the world while developing your career. You will be taken on three rotations around the globe where you will work in a fast-paced environment and grow in ways you never could have imagined. You will be exposed to the entire Novo Nordisk value chain while being challenged to explore your boundaries and reach your full potential.
