The position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Projects & Analytics team within Logistics and Distribution. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in supply chain management and will be responsible for leading and driving the Regional Distribution Center strategy (RDC) in collaboration key stakeholders in the department and across Novo Nordisk. Acting as a liaison across the entire value chain, the candidate will be extensively involved in working closely with production sites and International Operations (IO) in building business cases, looking into product harmonization, value chain optimizations and taking local considerations into the business case.  The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills to lead the process deliverables in high quality and in the right time while focusing on the stakeholder management. 

 

You will also be highly involved in managing high complexity tasks and projects and take initiative to continuously improve supply chain processes and stakeholder relationships. Through your strong analytical skills and innovative nature, you will drive ongoing improvement initiatives in your project , exercise change management and systematic problem solving where there is a need.
 
The position in anchored in Supply Chain, based in Bagsværd and will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Projects & Analytics.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in collaboration with key stakeholders across the Novo Nordisk organization.
  • Act as a bridge across the entire value chain, ensuring product harmonization, value chain optimizations.
  • Develop high-level business cases on benefits for management-level decision-making.
  • Drive and implement RDCs collaboration with other project managers in the Logistics and Distribution department.
  • Guiding and leading the Project & Analytics colleagues and potentially a clusters of project teams to help succeed in the implementation of RDCs. 
  • Delegate tasks and oversee the portfolio of projects supporting RDC implementations.
  • Identify optimization opportunities within Supply Chain, Logistics & Distribution

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supply chain management within a senior project management capacity.
  • Strong background in collaborating with stakeholders on an international level.
  • Demonstrated ability to harmonize products, optimize value chains, and address local considerations.
  • Proficiency in developing high-level business cases for management-level decisions.
  • Presenting decisions to all management levels of the organization

     
You will be working in a setup, which provides great transparency in your projects. It requires that you can work with the planning of your projects in a high level of detail as well as being able to take a helicopter perspective when necessary. You should be able to present your projects professionally, concisely, and comprehensibly at all levels of the organization, both in writing and verbally.

You are innovative and driven by performing your tasks in a way that adds value and not necessarily in the way you are used to. You are willing to take responsibility for your own learning and ownership of your own tasks and to work as a team player to the benefit of Logistics & Distribution department as well as the entire Novo Nordisk Product Supply, Quality & IT (PSQIT) organization and the patients.

 

You have a proven ability to demonstrate stakeholder management skills enabling you to cooperate group-wide and to drive processes and you are persistent in your quest to understand risks and regulations, while you at the same time can connect the dots considering the overall strategy, the direction of the company in close collaboration with the management.

 

The position requires an innovative and open mindset, well developed interpersonal skills and strong competences in communication, as you will work closely together with many different layers in the organization. A sense for discretion and confidentiality is essential.
 
We expect you to have:

  • A relevant master’s degree e.g., in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or the like
  • 8+ years of experience with project management in an Especially in a larger company with many stakeholders.
  • Abilities to communicate clearly, drive and move things forward.
  • A natural flair for business process optimization and standardization

     
Furthermore, it is an advantage if you:

  • Have been driving Supply Chain projects or have an understanding of the processes in Supply Chain
  • Have experience with a highly regulated environment
  • Have experience and proven record with senior management communication- verbal and written

About the department
Logistics & Distribution (L&D) is a central function in the Supply Chain organization in Product Supply, managing all cross-functional Supply Chain systems and processes. We are app. 60+ employees in Bagsværd (DK) and 15 in Bangalore (India) .
 
The department is overall responsible for the global distribution of Novo Nordisk products between production sites and to our affiliates and regional offices across the globe, focusing on delivering a high service while balancing the environmental footprint with the fiscal impact. Furthermore, we have responsibility for in- and outbound warehouses in the Product Supply network. 
 
While taking the responsibility for global distribution, L&D is responsible for overseeing and complying with all regulatory and quality requirements related to distribution of pharmaceuticals, managing the distribution cost and performance management of our warehouses and vendors.
