About the Department
Global Trial Portfolio is a newly established area within Novo
Nordisk Development organization. Our vision is to drive operational
excellence and innovation in the execution of our clinical development
activities. With focus on timely, cost-efficient, and best-in-class
clinical trial planning and execution, we aim to strengthen our
operations and make a significant impact on the future of clinical
drug development at Novo Nordisk.
The Diabetes & Obesity Clinical Operations area is part of
Global Trial Portfolio and responsible for the planning and execution
of clinical trials in accordance with Novo Nordisk strategic
priorities within the Diabetes and Obesity therapy areas. We are 270
professionals in total bringing extensive experience in the discipline
and therapy areas. We are divided in three areas, and it is one of
these areas (with focus on Diabetes), that we are looking for a Vice
President to lead. The Diabetes area currently consists of seven
departments, each of which is led by a Director and counts 110
professionals in total.
The Position
Reporting to the Corporate Vice President (CVP) for Diabetes
& Obesity Clinical Operations, the new Vice President will be part
of our newly established Global Trial Portfolio organization. The new
leader will provide strategic direction for, and execution oversight
of, clinical operational matters relating to the project portfolio
anchored within the Diabetes therapy area. This includes trial
planning, study design and development, execution within budget and
timelines, quality and compliance as well as development of the global
clinical operation function.
