The position
We are looking for our new colleague in Denmark and Spain and for the right candidate, we can offer the opportunity to work mostly remotely (home-based) from a location in selected countries in Europe. Relocation to Denmark might also be possible under the right circumstances.

 

You will have a critical role in one of our clinical projects focusing on the development of new products for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. As part of Novo Nordisk’s new therapy area strategy, the benefit of a new investigational drug on cardiovascular disease and heart failure is investigated in several outcome studies. Together with the Global Project Statistician, you will take an active part in the scientific and strategic discussions related to the interpretation and publication of study results. 

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•    Contributing to the strategy and prioritization of publications 
•    Responsible for the statistical deliverables related to publications
•    Review of articles and posters
•    Represent Biostatistics independently in several cross-functional fora
•    Responsible for meta-analyses (SAP) across studies

 

You will not be directly involved in the clinical study conduct but rather become a cross-study expert ensuring progress on a portfolio level.

In your daily work, you will collaborate with medical specialists, medical writers, and leading experts within cardiology and nephrology. It is therefore important that you can communicate statistical concepts, results, and ideas to all our stakeholders.

 

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have: 
•    Strong background in mathematics, statistics, or similar corresponding to PhD. level
•    At least 5 years of experience e.g., from the pharmaceutical industry
•    A proven track record of publications
 
It will be a strong advantage if you are:
•    Proficient in outcome studies outcome studies
•    Skilled in survival analysis and recurrent event analysis
•    Experienced in cross-functional collaboration
•    Strong in stakeholder management
•    Experienced in R, SAS, or other programming languages

 

On a personal level, you are open, curious, self-driven, passionate about your work, and solution-oriented.

Your Biostatistics colleagues counts 400+ people primarily located in Denmark and India with smaller teams in Spain, China, UK and US.
