The position
Our Data Historian Platform plays a central role in making data available for reporting, batch release and manufacturing intelligence. Data from our Pilot factories is essential to develop new product for our patients. The platform is based on the PI technology from OSIsoft/Aveva. 
You will be responsible for the development, compliance and daily operations of our Data Historian Platform, to ensure and strengthen our ability to use data for product release and manufacturing intelligence.

Your responsibilities summed up:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining PI system infrastructures, and troubleshoot problems in the PI system.
  • System Management (e.g. configuration and Performance Monitoring).
  • Working with data analysis to manage time series data, develop and analyses within the PI AF environment, and create visualizations and reports.

To succeed in this position, it is important that you have the courage to take on assignment that you don’t necessarily know the solution to. You will have support from you colleagues and this position offers a steep learning curve together with many exciting technical challenges.

 

Qualifications
You have a higher academic or technical education within IT, Computer Science, Automation, Engineering, or similar supplemented with 3-5 years of experience and knowledge of OSIsoft/AVEVA (experience with PI in pharma is seen as an advantage). You have a great passion for working with interfaces, data and technical problem-solving to optimize PI system performance.

As an ideal candidate you have:

  • Strong understanding of the OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System architecture, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, PI Interfaces and RtReports.
  • Programming and integration skills/languages such as Python, PowerShell or .NET, C# and experience with AF SDK and APIs for integrating to the PI system.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Our work is performed according to cGMP, hence it is expected that you possess a systematic approach to your tasks and that you a able to plan and finalise your tasks.

 

About the department

As part of Novo Nordisk PSQIT organisation, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development & Scaling makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set. 

The project department is organised within CMC API Pilots, that will own and operate the new facilities. We are a department with approx. 100 employees, who are responsible for completing the major investment project to expand our API production capacity for new pharmaceutical candidates for clinical trials in Novo Nordisk. CMC API Pilot is part of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control) Development & Scaling manufactures and controls new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio at Novo Nordisk.
