The position
As our Director of Strategic Operations, you will develop and implement CDC PL strategic plans in collaboration with the CDC Poland Senior Director and leadership team. You will lead, motivate, and develop a team of employees to achieve unit-specific goals and maintain optimal conditions for collaboration and track team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets. Moreover, you will provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Your main accountabilities will also include:

  • Provide strategic and operational support to the CDC PL operational units and supervise the operations of units such as Feasibility and Portfolio Planning, Study Start-up, and COE within the Strategic Operations department.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within CDC PL and drive initiatives to achieve them.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor and evaluate process performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure alignment of CDC PL activities and processes with regional/global decisions and standards and oversee the recruitment, allocation, and utilization of resources in all CDC PL units.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

 

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field is required. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
  • Additional certifications or training in leadership, project management, or clinical research are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical development or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in people management.
  • Proven track record in strategic/business operations and leadership roles
  • Experience of working in a regional and/or global setting within a large-scale organization (preferred).
  • Fluent in English – oral and written

 

On a personal level you should have capability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve clinical development objectives. You should have strong analytical skills to interpret clinical data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize trial outcomes. This role requires ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a dynamic clinical development environment. Moreover, it’s important to have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
