The position

We are entering an exciting phase of the expansion of our Cultivation Pilot Plant, where we continue to optimise and increase our production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients for clinical and development trials. You will work at the interface between new process development and production scale-up, ensuring the continued quality pipeline of new drugs for our patients around the world.


Furthermore, your will work with:

  • planning and co-ordinating production campaigns within a close working team
  • ensure timely execution of production within protein recovery processes
  • various tasks within the entire process chain, from raw materials planning, plant and utilities management, fermentation and recovery unit operations through reporting and co-ordination

The team works closely with skilled project staff, scientists, process technicians and calibration technicians/craftsmen. We offer an exciting and varied workday with great opportunities for professional and personal development. Qualifications

You have a Master’s degree within biochemical engineering, fermentation-based manufacturing, chemistry (or similar). You have, among others:

  • 3+ years working experience from a production environment where you have handled various tasks to plan, prepare, execute and close production campaigns.
  • Experience with GMP would be an advantage, but full training in GMP production will be provided on the job
  • Some experience with working with deviations is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with Pas-X is an advantage
  • Experience with cleaning could be an advantage

To succeed in this position, you have a solid process understanding and quality mindset. You enjoy and act as a strong team player, working close with others to find relevant solutions to challenges. Structuring and planning your work with respect to departmental priorities comes natural to you. Finally, you bring a good mood to work, help others and take initiative, when it is needed. This makes a great team spirit!

As part of the Novo Nordisk Product Supply, Quality & IT (PSQIT) organisation, CMC Product and Process Development makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set.
