Project Management (PM) interfaces between the client,
operations, and business development to cultivate strong
relationships, obtain repeat business, enhance the scope of
current projects, or identify new projects with existing
clients. The “Patient First” mindset is central to PM and drives
the team to guide projects to successful completion with the
highest quality and expedience. PM is responsible for
coordinating the entire project and ensuring deadlines are met
and that the project stays on budget. Team members should be
inspirational, creative, and motivational when leading their
project team – constantly challenging ways to deliver over and
above expectations.
PM has two focus areas: Client and Commercial (Customer
Accounts). This description is applicable for both areas.
This position requires a variety of skills necessary for
project management in the Engineering Department of a
pharmaceutical industry. The position is expected to possess
an understanding of life sciences. The Project Manager’s basic
purpose is to provide project management and leadership of
assigned projects that may be complex and reside within
multiple functional areas or may cross multiple Catalent sites
in coordination with business development, operations, and
quality assurance to ensure the highest level of client service.

Capable of managing cross-functional, multi-site
activities for a portfolio of complex projects

Identify customer requirements, evaluate, and optimize
time and resources to carry out the various stages of the
project
-
Supervise and coordinate the organization, planning,
and technical implementation of the project activities of
all stakeholders
-
Established track record for making the link between
the different technical sections of the project
-
Differentiate oneself by leveraging diversity and
being agile in ones thinking, assessing risk, solving
problems, and generating new solutions for our customers
-
Clear understanding of Catalent and offerings
-
Lead and build multi-disciplinary project teams,
comprising representatives from relevant functions and in
some cases cross-functional, multi-site activities for
complex projects
-
Manage the execution of the customer’s requirements in
accordance with an agreed upon program of activities to
achieve established goals and deliverables
-
Compile and maintain up to date project plans,
identify and capture new scope via proposals or change orders
-
Ensure the timeline with assurance that key milestones
are achieved and good communication is maintained
-
Track progress of all activities against plan and
notifies the relevant personnel of changes, potential
delays, and/or issues
-
Engrained in kick off and methodical approach to
managing project throughout duration of project scope
-
Understand escalation pathway and when necessary have
ability to mitigate
-
Established track record of facilitating risk
assessment and manage risks collaboratively
-
Manage SOX compliant financial practices in
coordination with internal/external stakeholders

Education/Experience:
-
High School/GED, required
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferred
-
PMP Certification or equivalent, preferred
-
5-8 years of relevant experience
-
GMP experience, preferred
-
Must be able to read and understand English-written
job instructions and safety requirements.

Experience with budgeting Capital Projects preferred
