The position
As Department Manager in Stem Cell Biology, you will be
responsible for leading a team of highly specialized scientists
and laboratory technicians working to develop protocols and
analytical methods within our Type 1 Diabetes portfolio. You will
help set the direction for Cell Therapy Research and support the
uniquely innovative and collaborative culture in Cell Therapy
R&D at Novo Nordisk.

About the department
The Department of Stem Cell Biology is a dynamic,
technology-driven research department, part of Cell Therapy
R&D, a Transformational Research Unit (TRU) within Novo
Nordisk. Based in Måløv, the department consists of 9 scientists
and 4 technicians. Our team focuses on protocol development in
small-scale suspension culture systems, in vitro characterization,
and assay development. We are responsible for cell preparation and
cell characterization for in vivo studies and have ongoing
projects in lab automation and digitalization. Our sister
department focuses on bioprocess development, and together, we
operate as a unified team supporting the T1D portfolio and
platform projects. The team is anchored in Cell Therapy Research
consisting of 4 departments supporting our full project portfolio.
