This is a substitute for maternity leave, between 2 and 5 years. This is a hybrid role, and we require you to be in the office for three days a week.

 

The Position

As the new Therapy Area Head you will lead specific TA trial portfolio allocated to Clinical Development Centre (CDC) by developing and executing the CDC TA strategy.  You will deliver in-time and in-quality specific TA clinical trials at CDC level. You will lead CDC TA functional team.  You will act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

 

Additionally, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team and develop short- and long-term strategic plans for the assigned Therapy Area within the CDC. Manage the trial portfolio in the assigned Therapy Area, including risk management at the CDC level.
  • Building effective operational model addressing current and future needs for functional team within CDC organisational structure.
  • Collaborating closely with other CDC units to ensure overall CDC compliance of NN processes, local requirements.
  • Driving TA team operational efficiency and capabilities, talent and people development, and performance management, and managing resources effectively in TA functional area of CDC
  • Strong cross-functional cooperation with CMR, with focus on Medical and CMM and Regulatory teams in CDC

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Life Science; MD or PharmD is an advantage
  • More than 5 years of experience in clinical operation/clinical trial execution/clinical trial management in Pharmaceutical industry or Clinical Research Organization.
  • Demonstrated solid experience in people management within clinical operations preferably in the relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Proven track record in clinical trial execution in multifunctional team, including clinical quality (audits and inspections) and training.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven successes.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Czech.
  • You have collaborative mindset, with exceptional communication skills, agility and resilience.
     

About the department

Our Clinical Development Centers, part of the Clinical, Medical and Regulatory Departments, are the backbone in clinical trials and have the benefits of strengthened partnerships and launches. We conduct clinical trials in more than 50 countries around the world, in close collaboration with our affiliates, regions and global teams.

You will be a part of our large, resourceful development team that plays a crucial role in the ambitious drug development programs at Novo Nordisk. You will become a part of the management team, reporting directly to the CDC Head Czech Republic.
