Senior Safety Surveillance Adviser

The Position
You will get the opportunity both to work independently and in collaboration with a team of highly skilled, committed, and enthusiastic colleagues across the functional areas in Novo Nordisk, especially the Non-clinical and Clinical Development teams. Assuming responsibility, communicating information and taking action will be essential parts of your workday. Responsibilities may include:
•    Establishing the product safety profile during development and maintenance of the labelling for marketed products.
•    Conducting safety surveillance of Novo Nordisk products during pre-approval and post-approval phases, based on safety information from worldwide sources.
•    Communicating drug safety issues internally and to health authorities as required.
•    Chairing or participating in cross-functional safety committees, ensuring effective establishment and execution of meetings.
•    Taking responsibility for all areas related to patient safety in clinical trials.

Qualifications
To succeed in the role, we expect you to have:
•    A master’s degree within Medicine or Natural Sciences (MD, DVM, MSc Pharm or equivalent), complemented by a PhD/research experience.
•    Several years of experience within pharmacovigilance and a strong desire to specialize within safety surveillance.
•    A solid understanding of medical concepts, scientific methodology, and drug development.
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with fluency in English.

About the Department
Safety Surveillance CagriSema is a team within Global Patient Safety at Novo Nordisk. Our dedicated and skilled professionals have global responsibility for the establishment of the product safety profile during clinical development, and for performing critical analysis and medical evaluation of the emerging aggregate safety data.
In the CagriSema team, we handle clinical development projects within the obesity and type 2 diabetes indications. You will in collaboration with other colleagues in the team, be responsible for surveillance activities related to the compounds in development.
