If so, apply today and join us for a life-changing career at Novo Nordisk as we are looking for a Legal & Compliance Student Assistant to join our Legal & Compliance team in Malmö, Sweden.

The Position

As a Legal & Compliance Student Assistant, you will be working for 6-8 weeks during the summer of 2025, and two days per week during the autumn semester of 2025. There is a possibility to extend the position beyond 2025 and for the duration of your law studies. The position offers a high level of flexibility to ensure that your work can be planned according to your study schedule.

In this role, you will be supporting the Swedish organisation in legal, data protection and business ethics tasks such as contract review and negotiation, privacy-related issues, optimising compliance processes, conducting legal research and trainings for the organisation, and deep-diving in compliance matters such as the promotion of pharmaceuticals and collaboration with healthcare organizations and academia.

At Novo Nordisk, we never compromise on ethics. As Legal & Compliance Student Assistant, you will play an instrumental part in guiding the Swedish organisation on how to ensure that we meet external and internal requirements in projects where we are finding new ways of supporting patients, healthcare personnel, and decision-makers.

Qualifications

We are searching for a law student who is expected to graduate within the next two years. To thrive in this role, you should be interested in commercial law, data protection and in the pharmaceutical industry.

The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented and structured, with a strong academic record. We also believe that you are self-motivated and enjoy working together as a team. You have strong work ethics and are willing to take ownership of your own tasks. You should be open to undertake tasks in new and unknown areas of law.

Fluency in Swedish and good communication and presentation skills in English is required, as most of the work is done in English.

While the office is in Malmö, we offer flexible ways of working. If you are based outside the Malmö area, some travel to the office will still be needed.

About the Department

The Swedish Legal & Compliance department consists of four team members. We rely primarily on collaboration within the European and Canadian region that we are part of, where the Legal, Ethics & Compliance organisation consists of about 150 people. Ultimately, you will be part of the Global Legal, Intellectual Property and Security organisation, which gathers around 700 colleagues around the world.

Novo Nordisk is a global healthcare company founded in 1923 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are one of the largest healthcare companies in the world, employing more than 69,000 people in 80 countries and marketing our products in about 170 countries around the globe. The Swedish organisation gathers more than 100 people. About half of us are based at the office in Malmö, while our customer-facing teams and some – traditionally office-based – colleagues who are utilising the flexible way of work that we offer, are based in other parts of the country.

Working at Novo Nordisk
