The Position
Your primary responsibility as the Engineering Manager is to
ensure that the global design for the AP Modules aligns with all
program objectives and standards. You will establish and oversee
the engineering execution process alongside local sites,
guaranteeing adherence to central design and engineering
standards. Maintaining and updating the AP module master design is
a crucial aspect of your role, facilitating expedited execution
for template rollout projects.
Your key responsibilities in
this role include:
• Coordinating all Engineering
activities (where applicable) to ensure compliance to program and
project standards, work scope objectives and schedule
milestones.
• Coordinating with the local engineering
partner to ensure they deliver according to the contractual
agreements in terms of quality, scope of supply and time
schedule.
• Engagement and coordination of specialist
technologists from the nominated specialist offices to support key
elements of the engineering scope of work (e.g. modularization/
pre-packaged units, etc.)
• Leading and coordinating all
engineering related reviews including Design Reviews, HAZOP, etc.
Working with the Location Engineering Manager to undertake the
necessary Technical Peer Reviews, ensuring technical changes are
identified and assessed for possible risk impacts.

Developing and overseeing the implementation of AP Master
model.
• Performing project or task management functions
as delegated by the Project Manager, including customer liaison,
coordination of technical meetings, and general project
supervision and coordination.
As part of your role, you will be implementing and overseeing efficient and solid engineering sourcing and procurement practices based on programme strategy.
Due to collaboration with our sites global, some travel for this role is also expected and it is estimated that this will be up to 20% of the time annually.
Qualifications
Ideally, you have the following qualifications:
• 10
years of project or engineering management/execution
experience.
• Significant experience from leading
engineering work at several projects or programmes of large-scale
facilities through the lifecycle from Conceptual Brief to
Handover.
• You are skilled at managing complex projects
with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
•
You provide clear goals and purpose for the area and the project
team members so that the project secures effective use of time and
resources and builds employee motivation.
• Demonstrated
ability to execute projects in a complex international
environment.
• Well versed in contracting strategies and
implications of these (EPCM, Design Build, etc.).
Additionally, you have successfully led larger and complex global GxP investment projects or programmes within construction. Fluency in French language is an advantage.
As a person you are an effective communicator. You have
developed and lead high performing teams and have the ability and
experience to motivate highly skilled professionals and experts.
You are exceptionally good at creating good stakeholder relations.
About the Department
As the Engineering Manager, you will part of one or more
projects, and you will report to the Manager for the AP
engineering department. You will work closely with the site-based
projects across the globe in designing and ensuring efficient
execution of the future factories of Novo Nordisk, all based on
the concept of “design one, build many”.
You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions. The area is
anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally
employ approximately 25,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 69,000 employees.
Fill & Finish Expansions is a newly established and
growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and build all
major fill & finish expansion projects across PSQIT to serve
the needs of millions of patients.
