The Finance and Operations Director will drive the overall affiliate finance and operations strategy and the programs in financial analysis and planning, accounting, customer service, supply chain management, procurement, and IT that enhance our overall internal customer experience.

 

This role will drive integrated data analytics to develop new insights & meaningful recommendations, and influence Line of Business at all levels to incorporate in decision making, such as marketing and sales strategy and tactics. This role will also be responsible for working on a cross functional basis ensuring that all stakeholder/ customer needs and perspectives are considered, ensuring that local plans & tactics are prioritized to achieve desired goal.

 

Assigned responsibilities related to position requires travel and flexible working hours as the activities are executed in accordance with the stakeholders / company s  available places, times and the timelines of meetings.

 

Key activities

  • Financial strategy development
    1. Set and implement the financial strategy that align with the organization's goals, anticipating internal and external business challenges, and ensure sustainable growth and financial stability.
    2. Develop long-term financial plans and forecasts to support business objectives.
  • Overseeing financial operations
    1. Direct daily financial and accounting operations, ensuring adherence to company-wide policies and procedures.
    2. Oversee financial planning and analysis, accounting, and other finance sub-functions:

1) Financial planning and analysis: prepare budget package and manage budget execution. Drive and implement advanced financial analytics and digital driven forecasting models to enhance decision-making.

2) Accounting, treasury, payroll and tax: review bookkeeping, internal control setup, local office application maintenance, financial reporting, AR collection and cash flow management, expenditure payout, dividend repatriation. Ensure the business operations compliant with local tax regulation, timely withholding and filing as well as reporting to stakeholders. Lead the digital transformation of financial processes, including the adoption of blockchain for secure and transparent transactions.

3) Customer service and supply chain: coordinate with distributors and HQ/Regional office regarding hospital bidding, sales forecast, ordering, product import and customs clearance to ensure profitability and availability of all products, sample distribution

4) Procurement and IT: supervise procurement process, IT infrastructure maintenance and IT support service.

  • Risk management and compliance
    1. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    2. Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization's assets and reputation.
    3. Works according to business ethic procedures, local law, NN Way and NN policies and guidelines
  • Stakeholder engagement
    1. Engage with key stakeholders to align financial strategies with business goals.
    2. Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Team leadership and development
    1. Lead and develop a team of professionals through an entrepreneurial mindset and spirit, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Inspire the team to explore, innovate and test in unknown territories.
    2. Manage organizational design, structure, and development within the finance function.
    3. Develop and lead the team through performance management, coaching and continuous training to upskill and build competencies.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant finance. experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.                                                                                                                           
  • Proven track record in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and tax.
  • Experience in managing multifunctional teams and strategic projects.
  • Good MS Office skill, preferably SAP or other ERP experience

  • Proven ability of strategic financial planning. Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, providing insights that support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Expertise in identifying, analyzing, and solving complex financial and operational issues that have a broad impact on the business.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing diverse teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving performance through effective leadership.
  • Skilled in engaging and managing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met while aligning with the organization's objectives.
  • Able to work effectively across various functions such as IT, supply chain, and operations, ensuring cohesive and integrated financial processes.
  • Expertise in identifying and mitigating financial risks, ensuring the organization's financial health and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Skilled in leading and managing change within the finance function, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly and concisely to various audiences, including senior management and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of advanced financial software and systems, leveraging technology to enhance financial processes and improve efficiency.
