The position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director to lead our Injectable Formulation department in CMC.  


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading five teams of dedicated laboratory technicians, research scientists and specialists. 
  • Setting strategic direction of injectable formulation activities and ensuring deliverables are met according to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and collaborate effectively across the organisation.
  • Build strong partnerships with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment on deliverables and formulation strategies.


Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we expect you have:

  • Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering (e.g., Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry) with strong business insights. 
  • Solid experience within pharmaceutical development of injectables. 
  • Proven experience with people management and leading leaders.

You thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities, where you leverage your team’s skills, apply strong business understanding, and use a strategic approach to engage stakeholders effectively. You have strong willingness to explore new ideas and adapt to dynamic scientific and technological landscapes, fostering a culture of innovation. 


About the department
CMC Injectable Formulation is responsible for developing formulations and production processes for all new injectable products at Novo Nordisk covering clinical phase 1-3. The department is organised in 5 teams with 90 dedicated scientists, specialists and laboratory technicians based in Måløv, Denmark. The department is part of the CVP area Drug Product & Analytical Development which is anchored in the CMC Development & Scaling area – a part of Product Supply, Quality and IT organisation in Novo Nordisk.

 

CMC Development & Scaling makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set.
