About the department

This position will report to the Head of Legal, Compliance and Quality, who manages 5 direct reports in Legal & Complisnace team in addition to Quality team. The Legal & Compliance team is part of Legal, Compliance, Quality (LCQ) department. 

 

The position

(Sr.) Medical Information Specialist serves as the medical expert, providing accurate and timely medical information to external stakeholders (HCPs). They review and approve promotional/non-promotional materials across Business Units in accordance with market regulations and company policies. They are also responsible for developing and disseminating medical content to ensure accurate and timely responses to medical inquiries from HCPs.

 

As the Medical Information Specialist, your key accountabilities include:

  • Provide accurate and compliant medical information to external customers regarding Novo Nordisk products, while developing and maintaining medical content such as standard response letters.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings (training, educational, medical congresses) to stay updated on current medical/scientific information and strategies.
  • Conduct medical reviews and approvals of business-related materials, ensuring fair-balanced, accurate, and timely dissemination through various channels, including digital platforms.
  • Ensure medical/ethical standards and high-quality material reviews with signature authority, adhering to company policies and local regulations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in material reviews, providing scientific guidance on brand messages, ensuring content accuracy, and supporting approval processes with data/reference validation and expert negotiation.

 

Qualifications

  • Korean and English language fluency is a must to be able to review Korean and English documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Preferred major in pharmacy or nursing science or scientific field) with significant industry or related medical information experience preferred. Post-graduate specialty training is desirable.  
  • At least 2 to 8 years of experience in a medical information setting is preferred. Successful professional with 3+ years of pharmaceutical experience. Customer-oriented approach and ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, and laboratory diagnostic tests.
  • Knowledge of medical information processes and relevant regulations a must.  Computer literacy is required as well as strong ability to analyse and synthesize emerging scientific data and put into strategic context.
