The Position

As Associate Manager of the Facility Team, you will lead a team responsible for securing facility support to our 5 API Pilot facilities and 4 API Development facilities. As part of the Facility Team, you will work closely with skilled employees to secure all necessary supplies for API production and development.  You will also be responsible for a group of Project Leads covering technical investment projects (equipment replacement and optimization) in CMC API Pilots and CMC API Development.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Ensure stable facility support to 9 buildings in Bagsværd (ABA/AGA, pest control, Power supply, Need Help Inbox etc.)
  • Empower and develop team members, ensuring efficient operations and stable supplies.
  • Supporting/leading Project Leads in the technical investment projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in production, development and expansion project.
  • Commissioning work (technical investment projects)
  • Responsible for apprentices (e.g. Electrical and Automation technicians)

Focus on Environment, Health & Safety ( EHS) in the work process is seen in CMC API Pilots as the most important managerial task, and insight into improvement actions is achieved through go-look-se with employees.

As Associate Manager you will be part of the leadership team in CMC API Pilots Operations , which is composed of 1 Director, 5 Associate Managers and an administrative coordinator that meets frequently, support each other, and routinely use each other as sparring partners.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a technical background as an Engineer, bachelor’s in technology management and engineering (“Maskinmester”), or M.sc in Pharmacy. Furthermore, you will need:

  • Experience in the pharma industry and knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is preferred.
  • Leadership experience and a natural desire to engage, develop and empower people .
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both internal and external collaboration partners .
  • Fluency in written and spoken English .
  • G ood technical insight and interest in qualification/validation requirements is preferable.

You like to develop, involve, and motivate your team members and can communicate and collaborate effectively across disciplines. You thrive in a dynamic development environment where sharp priorities are part of everyday life, as well as support to employees in their priorities at the facilities and projects. Additionally, you are driven by the technical work processes and see shopfloor, with your employees, as one of the most important tasks and feel motivated by identifying opportunities to optimize our workflow and processes through a structural approach.

As part of Novo Nordisk PSQIT organisation, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development & Scaling makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set. 

The CMC API Pilots Operations (Technical Support) department is organised within CMC API Pilots and support the API manufacturing and process development of new API candidates for Novo Nordisk development projects. Our team of over 80 employees supports the scalability and robustness of API processes for clinical studies and market production.
