The position
In the newly established role as a Senior Project Manager in Cell Therapy R&D, you will be responsible for monitoring and capturing timely planning and execution of projects. You will establish portfolio overviews and drive strategic discussions at Cell Therapy Leadership Team level, including resource allocation analysis to support current overviews and future planning.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Leading and challenging project scope, goals, expected deliverables and stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and priorities. 
  • Providing regular project and portfolio updates to the Cell Therapy Board.
  • Identifying new stakeholders and creating a culture of direct, continuous contact with the stakeholders to achieve Novo Nordisk’s strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrating strong application of portfolio management, launch management and Life Cycle Management capabilities while showing excellence in efficient cross-functional collaboration.
  • Supporting strategy development and ensuring excellence to maximise impact of global strategy across customer groups and markets.

 

This position requires flexibility to work across time zones with colleagues sitting in Denmark, US East Coast and US West Coast. You can also expect to travel to the US once a year. 

 

Qualifications
To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: 

  • Master’s degree in business, finance, pharmaceutical science or similar. 
  • Several years of experience with project management, external collaborations, and portfolio management from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry and/or consultancy companies. 
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. 


On a personal level, you have an excellent ability to establish cross-organisational collaborations while being a strong communicator and demonstrated skills needed to support colleagues in elevating both strategic and tactical execution. Moreover, you are result-driven and possess high energy and drive. You are a strategic problem-solver with a creative and global mindset who can reduce complexity to clear recommendations.


About the department
In Cell Therapy R&D, our mission is to improve the lives of patients suffering from serious chronic diseases through innovative stem cell-based therapies. We want to be an industry leader in this rapidly developing area, which has the potential to address unmet medical needs in a disease-modifying to curative approach to serious chronic diseases. As a dedicated Transformational Research Unit (TRU) since late 2018, we have a high level of independence, agility, and flexibility. This means we can combine the speed and agility of a small biotech with the capabilities of a major pharma company. We cover the full pharmaceutical value chain, from research to commercial, including a GMP manufacturing site in Fremont, working in close collaboration with leading international scientists and colleagues across Novo Nordisk.
