Would you picture yourself collaborating with stakeholders from around the world, bringing your unique perspective and expertise to the table to set the foundations of our future external production growth?

If being challenged and motivated to deliver outstanding results resonates with you, we want you in our Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) unit, where you will experience all of this and even more. Apply now!

The position
As a (Senior) Project Manager, you will manage two or more projects, depending upon complexity and location. Projects you will typically lead involve technical transfer to a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) of a drug substance or a side chain focusing on the preparation and execution of the Process Performance Qualification or integration of robust processes for commercial production and supply chain into Novo Nordisk systems and processes.

Projects are either new products that transfer from Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) or expanding capacity for existing products. The project team will consist of specialists from Science & Technology, CMC, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Sourcing.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Defining the project strategy and executing accordingly
  • Applying traditional project tools like project plans, stakeholder management, and communication, along with
  • Performing risk analysis, project performance reporting, and appropriate governance across all units involved
  • Ensuring alignment and coordination between external partners and established Novo Nordisk’s processes and production frameworks
  • Ensuring an engaged project team and satisfied stakeholders

Traveling will be an integral part of this role to be on-site with partner CMOs within Europe or overseas. The amount will depend on the project and geographical place of the CMO, going from a couple of days every 1-2 months to a week every month. In special cases, an extended business trip for several weeks may be required.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we believe you:

  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or any other related field
  • Bring experience in leading complex business projects within a large organization in an international environment or alternatively, have already worked with CMOs
  • Showcase familiarity with pharmaceutical production – preferably with tech transfer and validation of pharmaceutical production processes
  • Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to engage people, build trust in your relationships, and get commitment from internal and external stakeholders
  • Display fluency in both spoken and written English

As a person, you have a high degree of emotional intelligence: you can easily establish close collaboration with stakeholders, both internally and externally, create a highly engaged team, and have effective governance on the projects. You also have excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills, which will enable you to continuously set direction, keep an overview of progress and prioritize actions accordingly.
