Storage
Prior to use, the shelf-life of the 5 mg, 10 mg and 15 mg NordiFlex® pens is 2 years stored at 2–8°C/35–48°F.
Once in use, the 5 mg and 10 mg NordiFlex® pens keep safely at up to 25°C/77°F for 3 weeks.*9 Once in use, the 15 mg NordiFlex® pen keeps safely at 2–8°C/35–48°F for 4 weeks.
Protect from direct sunlight and do not freeze.
Precautions
The NordiFlex® pen comes in 3 strengths: 5 mg, 10 mg, and 15 mg. Each type of pen has a specific coloured pen cap and push button – orange for 5 mg, blue for 10 mg, and green for 15 mg.
Do not use the residual scale to measure the amount of growth hormone to be injected. Always use both dose scales – on the pen cap and at the push button on the back of your NordiFlex® pen.
Never use your NordiFlex® pen after the expiration date printed on it.
The NordiFlex™ pen and the NovoFine® needles should be kept out of the reach of children. However, once children are old enough, they may be allowed to inject themselves, under proper parental supervision.
Your NordiFlex® pen should be used by one person only.
Only use your NordiFlex® pen if you are sure that it is working properly.
Bioequivalence
The NordiFlex® pen contains liquid Norditropin® somatropin, which is the active ingredient, and which is bioequivalent to freeze-dried Norditropin® somatropin.3,10-12
All claims regarding the efficacy and safety of Norditropin® somatropin are thus applicable for the use of the NordiFlex® pen. In addition, all indications currently approved for Norditropin® somatropin are applicable.
