Green accounts
The green accounts are prepared for four of Novo Nordisk’s production sites (Bagsværd, Gentofte, Hillerød and Kalundborg) every third year according to Danish legislation.
The purpose of green accounts is partly to share information with the public on the environmental aspects and impacts of the company, and partly to inspire the company to work systematically with environmental improvements.
The green accounts include information on the company and its significant environmental aspects and impacts, including:
- a statement from the management
- information on development within environmental key areas for the last five years
- summary of the company's self-regulatory control compared with the authorities' approval conditions.
The green accounts are prepared by our corporate environmental department in cooperation with the environmental coordinators and other key persons at the four production sites and submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency by 1 June the following year. The next green accounts will be prepared for 2013.
The green accounts are only available in Danish.
