European Pharma Management
Novo Nordisk Region Europe is made up of seven business areas: Germany, UK & Ireland, France, Italy & Greece, Spain & Portugal, North & Central, and Europe East. They report to the Novo Nordisk regional office, which is based in Zurich in Switzerland and comprises three departments: Strategic Operations, which include Finance, IT, Legal Affairs and Business development. CDC Europe/Medical Affairs and HR & Communications.
Pharma Management Education aims to develop best-in-class management professionals with thorough pharmaceutical business knowledge and strong organizational networks.
The programme consists of an intensive 2-year sales and marketing program, which offers cross-organizational training as well as leadership and teamwork skills development. Hands-on field experience is integrated, complemented by extensive education.
The European experience is enhanced through three rotations. The first six months of the programme take place in the regional office in Zurich, Switzerland where you work as a business analyst.
Subsequently, the participants make a rotation of twelve months working as sales representatives to experience sales force dynamics and to gain understanding of the customer base, which is crucial for career development.
Finally, a third six-month rotation as a business analyst takes place in another European country in a sales or marketing department, or at our headquarters in Denmark.
Rotation details
Rotation 1: Business Analyst Marketing/ Sales
The Graduate Programme takes approximately two years to complete. Typically, the first 4-6 months of the programme take place in the Novo Nordisk Regional office in Zurich.
Rotation 2: Sales Representative
After the first rotation, the Graduate will make a rotation of 12 months working as sales representatives to acquire practical experience with clients. At this rotation, the Graduate will get extended on-the-job experience combined with in-depth diabetes and portfolio knowledge. May include sales rep certification if rotation in country with such requirement.
Rotation 3: Senior Business Analyst Marketing/ Sales/ Business Development
Length of rotation: 6-8 months
Finally, a third rotation of approximately 6-8 months takes place, in the Novo Nordisk Head Quarters department, or in another European affiliate. Typically, the first and the third rotation take place in a marketing or sales department.
Ideally, the Pharma Graduate is assigned a major business project in a department, which may involve cross-functional cooperation, during the first and the third rotation.
Requirements
We are looking for the most qualified, top performing Master graduates from European business and life science schools. You have to be fluent in English and at least one more of the following languages: DE, ES, FR, IT, NL, PL, and SE. If you furthermore have some international experience, a passion for learning, have shown interest in marketing and/or sales as well as demonstrated initiative and interest in business life, we are looking for you to join our international team of graduates starting 1 September 2009.
