Base Camp Introduction

The Global Marketing Graduate Programme aims to develop world-class Global Product Managers with a broad understanding and hands-on experience in international and local pharmaceutical marketing activities.

The programme includes two eight-month rotations in the Global Marketing Headquarters (Denmark and/or Zurich), one eight-month rotation in a marketing department of an affiliate, and another eight months as a sales representative abroad.

The programme is individually tailored to ensure your full personal and professional development. Tasks span from pre-launch and launch challenges, all the way through lifecycle management.

What you will be doing

As a Global Marketing Graduate, you will experience a variety of challenging tasks and projects. You will be part of a unique international working environment with room for individuality as well as teamwork.

Rotating in both HQ and an affiliate abroad, you will gain experience with a broad variety of both pre-launch, launch, and lifecycle management tasks and projects. You will get a unique insight into the full global marketing value chain of Novo Nordisk. And you will build your skills within everything from strategic product and marketing planning, to local tactical marketing and sales operations.

Throughout the programme you will gain experience with cross- departmental project work and internal/external stakeholder management. More concretely, your working areas as a Global Marketing Graduate may include:

  • Product strategy development and implementation
  • Product positioning and branding
  • Product development, launch or withdrawal
  • Market research and analysis
  • Forecasting and pricing strategy
  • Conference exhibitions and symposia
  • Promotional material and communication
  • Web strategy and implementation

Whilst taking on a broad variety of responsibilities, you will enjoy the privilege of being part of both formal and informal graduate networks. This will allow you to broaden your learning even further, while building your opportunities and relationships across the company.

Scope of the programme

The Global Marketing Graduate programme is individually tailored to ensure the advancement of your personal and professional profile.

The programme is highly international and structured around four eight-month rotations: Two based in the Global Marketing Headquarters, one in a marketing department of an affiliate, and one as a sales representative abroad.

The sequence of the rotations may change from graduate to graduate. Depending on your wishes to travel abroad, you may carry out one of your Headquarter rotations in our Zurich based Global Marketing offices.

The last rotation of the programme is the position as a sales representative within an affiliate. This further advancement of your marketing career profile could lead to a job within Novo Nordisk Headquarters as a Global Product Manager.

Most graduates are hired on a permanent basis upon completion of the programme – previous graduates now hold positions within Novo Nordisk ranging from Global Product Manager to Regional Marketing Director.
