At Novo Nordisk we believe it is important to allow employees to think and act for themselves. That is why we place emphasis on giving you, as a Novo Nordisk employee, the greatest freedom possible to influence the organisation of your work. Many departments therefore operate flexitime programmes with the opportunity to work from home as well.
At Novo Nordisk we have clearly defined our values. One of these is to be ambitious. This means that you, as a Novo Nordisk employee, should always strive to find new ways to become even better at what you do. In order to achieve good results, we always set ambitious – but achievable – goals from the very start.
Every year the annual employee satisfaction survey has shown high levels of satisfaction with the degree of job influence. In the latest of these surveys, more than four out of five Novo Nordisk employees stated that they had a “high” or “very high” degree of freedom to work on their assignments as they chose without having to consult their immediate superior.
Almost 80 per cent of employees agree that they are given the free rein they need to deal with the assignments they receive from their immediate superior.
The vast majority of our employees attend 1–2 target appraisals a year. When you, as a Novo Nordisk employee, attend a target appraisal with your immediate superior, you work together to define the goals on which your evaluation will be based. In addition to setting goals, the meeting gives you the chance to talk to your immediate superior about the actions required to reach your goals – including the support you expect from your superior.
We believe that clear goals followed up with individual feedback give you the best conditions for developing both personally and professionally, to the benefit of both you and Novo Nordisk.
