When you run around and use your body, you use a lot of energy. When you use a lot of energy, your body uses a lot of sugar and insulin. So it is important that you make sure you get enough to eat, that you measure your blood sugar, and that you get enough insulin. If you play football, tennis or any other game and you get tired while playing, it may be a good idea to have some fast-acting sugar, a piece of chocolate, or a glass of orange juice.
It is very important that you get exercise. When you have diabetes you can get problems as you get older, but if you get regular exercise and use your legs instead of always riding the bus, you will feel well and healthy, even though you have diabetes!
