Storage and handling
NovoPen® 3 is a precision tool and should be handled with care. Avoid situations where your NovoPen® 3 can be damaged and keep it in the case whenever possible. You can also keep a spare Penfill® in its pack, and three spare NovoFine® needles in the case.
Please read the leaflet in the Penfill® pack for details on how to store the cartridges and how long to keep them.
Your NovoPen® 3 is tough but could still get damaged, so handle it with care and protect it against dust and dirt when it is not in its case.
You can clean your NovoPen® 3 by wiping it with cotton wool moistened with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Do not soak NovoPen® 3 with alcohol, wash or lubricate it, as this could damage the mechanism. Clean off dirt and dust with a soft brush.
Things to remember
Never try to repair a faulty NovoPen® 3.
NovoPen® 3 must only be used in the way described in it's instruction manual. Novo Nordisk will not be responsible for any problems you have with the equipment if you have not followed the instruction manual.
Replacement of a faulty NovoPen® 3
If you find that NovoPen® 3 is faulty, Novo Nordisk will replace it if:
- You return the pen where you bought it within a year of getting it
- You enclose any documents you were given when you got the pen
- Novo Nordisk can inspect the pen and confirm that it is faulty
