Novo Nordisk’s Global Marketing programme is a great opportunity for future marketing leaders to join a successful and ambitious international company.
You will experience a variety of challenging tasks and projects - from cross-departmental project work and internal/external stakeholder management to a broad variety of both pre-launch, launch, and lifecycle management - offering increasing responsibility within Novo Nordisk's broad portfolio of diabetes and other life-changing products. To ensure that you make the most of the programme, you will be assigned a personal mentor with whom you will stay in close contact throughout your journey.

Structure of the programme
The Global Marketing graduate programme is a 2-year journey consisting of three 8-month rotations within the marketing and sales departments, both in Global Marketing Headquarters in Denmark and in our global affiliates.
Your rotations will be tailored to optimise your personal and professional development and so the sequence and location of the rotations may vary between graduates, with each graduate exposed to different opportunities throughout the organisation.
After successfully completing the programme, you will have the necessary skills to embark on a career in global marketing at Novo Nordisk with a permanent position - perhaps as a Global Product Manager. While you could be based in Denmark, your broad network and international experience from the programme will enable global career opportunities.

Programme details: Development opportunities
As a Global Marketing graduate, you’ll get a unique insight into the full global marketing value chain of Novo Nordisk and will build your skills within everything from strategic product and marketing planning, to local tactical marketing and sales operations.
The areas of expertise where you will gain invaluable experience include:

- Product development, launch or withdrawal
- Market research and analysis
- Forecasting and pricing strategy

- Promotional material and communication
- Communication strategy and implementation

Scope of the programme
The Global Marketing graduate programme is tailored to ensure your full personal and professional development accelerated by prioritised training and dedicated coaching from senior managers.
The programme is highly international and structured around three 8-month rotations: One rotation based in the Global Marketing headquarters in Denmark and two rotations within location specific marketing and sales departments. Our most recent graduates have enjoyed rotations in China, Germany, the UK and US.
The flow and content of your job rotations are shaped individually to fit both your skills and development opportunities and at the same time to meet our business needs and focus areas. Throughout the programme you will be working closely with your mentor to plan your rotations and enhance your professional and personal development to learn as much as possible.
The graduate programme could be shaped as follows:
Based in our headquarters in Denmark, the first rotation will give you in-depth experience with the entire pharmaceutical life-cycle of a brand as for example launch/life-cycle or pre-launch. Tasks are strategic and analytical in nature and could include challenging tasks such as product strategy development, positioning/branding, market research, forecasting, conferences, and development of promotional material and communication.
Rotation 2 - Marketing rotation
The second rotation will be based in one of our global affiliates. Here you will gain insights into the life of a Local Product Manager. This will enable you to better support affiliates as you accelerate your career in Global Marketing. Tasks are analytical and operational in nature and can include product launch planning/execution, annual business planning, conference organisation and development of educational materials for physicians and patients.
Rotation 3 – Sales rotation
During this rotation you will experience the final link in the pharmaceutical value-chain. This rotation allows you to understand the foundation of the pharmaceutical business drivers, our customers´ needs and the selling skills necessary to connect with our customers. You will be given responsibility for your own customer and sales targets. Opportunities in sales can also include involvement in sales operation tasks such as targeting or performance analysis.
Who you are
To join the Global Marketing graduate programme you must hold a master's degree within the field of marketing, branding, product management or business. You have an outstanding academic record and came top of your class. Only recently graduated, you have no more than 1 year of work experience and you have an excellent command of both spoken and written English.
You are driven by a desire to make a difference and are performance-oriented, outgoing and enthusiastic. Being part of a company at the cutting-edge of a highly complex and innovative industry, you will need to be able to learn fast and communicate your great ideas well. You also have a strategic and analytical mind-set.
