We began research and development in haemophilia over 20-years ago because people with haemophilia and inhibitors were receiving inadequate treatment. Our formula for haemophilia with inhibitors was an innovation of its time. As the only recombinant treatment available to patients who have inhibitors twelve-years later, it remains an innovation even today. Novo Nordisk’s commitment to haemophilia, however, is not limited to just one innovation, and for this reason our haemophilia pipeline continues to evolve.
In our quest for global leadership we invest in science for people. At Novo Nordisk we have over 4,000 people working in research and development, many of them in haemophilia, and their long-term objective is clear: improving the lives of people with haemophilia. We are continuing our efforts in R&D for people with haemophilia and inhibitors, but our experience in the field has demonstrated that we have more to offer.
